Need for Speed Heat - The latest news and offers before the release on November 08, 2019

The time has come! On November 8, Need for Speed Heat will be released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Here's everything you need to know before the release.

Update at release

The day-one update will be released with the game and is a total of 4.6 GB. The update is required to use the online features of Need for Speed Heat.

Newest gameplay trailer with the first 30 minutes of gameplay

For those of you who are undecided, EA has released a new Need for Speed Heat gameplay trailer. In the newest trailer, you can see the first half hour of the game. This will allow you to see the day and night gameplay that EA has announced, which divides the game into legal races during the day and illegal races at night.

Tuning in Need for Speed Heat

As mentioned several times before, you will have more tuning options for your vehicles in NfS Heat. The developer Ghost Games recently announced that tuning serves not only aesthetic purposes. The cars can be modified to such an extent that "asymmetrical" and "non-optimal" handling can be achieved.

This should allow you to adjust the handling from the simplicity of an arcade racer to the realistic handling in GRIP. But the drift behavior of the vehicles should also be adaptable to your own needs. Ghost Games thus hopes to guarantee fun and variety in the long term for experienced racing drivers.

Tuning possibilities up to exhaust sound!

This may sound a bit strange at first, but in Need for Speed Heat you can customize and modify your vehicle more individually than ever before. The tuning system works again like in the old parts and is based simply on money. So you no longer have to collect special speed cards for an engine upgrade as in NfS Payback, but simply save the right amount of money.

When tuning in NfS Heat, you can even adjust your engine sound or exhaust sound to your liking. So that you can also enjoy it while driving, you can let the engine roar with the push of a button.

No more vehicle classes in NfS Heat

Ghost Games has come up with something new old here. In Need for Speed Heat you will not find any vehicle classes and thus no restrictions on which car you can or have to use for which race.

Only limited nitro

This change will not please everyone but we think this was a very good decision by Ghost Games. You will only have one can of NOS (Nitrous Oxide) per outing and race. So in the future you will have to decide exactly when it is worth using NOS and when not. This should bring a little more tactics into Need for Speed Heat and the thrill of the chase, especially in police chases, will increase significantly.

Usable items on the street

In NfS Heat you will also have some items that you can use in the car. As an example, EA has mentioned a repair kit for repairing damage to the vehicle or a kill switch jammer that disables the electronics of other vehicles and shuts them down. However, the kill switch jammer is also used by the police and is only one of the surprises the police have in store for you in Palm City.
