Halo: The Master Chief Collection for PC
The Halo: The Master Chief Collection brings Halo: Reach to the PC for the first time and is set to add more Halo saga titles in the future. For a long time, some of these titles were only available for the Xbox consoles Xbox 360 or Xbox One.
The Master Chief Collection was originally released for the Xbox One in 2014. The PC version can be purchased from the Steam Store or Microsoft Store since December 3, 2019.
Halo: Reach comes to Steam
A total of six games are planned to be included in the games collection: Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4. The only Halo games in this series that were playable on the PC so far were Halo and Halo 2.
The game collection is being worked on by 343 Industries, Ruffian Games and Splash Damage. The plan is to add more titles from the series to the Master Chief Collection over time. If you already own a Steam Key, you still need to purchase the following titles.
Everything starts with Halo: Reach
Halo: Reach is where it all begins. This prequel wasn't included in the console version of the Collection. The shooter, which was released for Xbox 360 in 2010, was ported to PC for the first time for the PC release. It is the first part in the story of Halo. The following parts are to be released chronologically and added to the Master Chief Collection, starting with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.
All games have been given a visual polish, run at 60 FPS, the screen resolution has been adapted to 4k UHD and HDR, and the controls have been optimized for mouse and keyboard. The console version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection has 120 multiplayer maps and 67 campaign missions.
So those of you with a Steam key for the parts can keep busy with the Halo saga in multiplayer and singleplayer for a long time. The developers are planning to add more games from the Halo series in 2020. However, the release dates are currently unknown.
