Atlus has announced that Persona: The Phantom X - also known as Persona: Phantom of The Night - is now available for pre-order on the official website. The game is being developed by Chinese studio Perfect World Games' Black Feather Studio and is the first official mobile game in the Persona series. But what can we expect from Persona: The Phantom X?
"Desire" as the Main Theme
Persona: The Phantom X is a mobile game being developed by Perfect World Games' Black Feather Studio in collaboration with Atlus and Sega. The game is thematically focused on "Desire" and tells a new story of teenagers who have awakened the ability of "Persona Masks". They get to know each other, face difficulties, and grow together against the backdrop of "low desire". A mysterious old man with a long nose, a strange underwater room, an owl that can speak human language - all of this seems to be connected to a certain opportunity...
As in the original game, Persona 5, the main characters lead a double life. During the day, they are high school students, but at night they become Phantom Thieves, summoning Personas and engaging in turn-based battles. One of the new characters is the protagonist, a second-year student at Kiba High who lives alone at home. His code name is "Wonder" and his Persona is "Janosik". The second character is Arai Suwa, a second-year high school student at Kiba High. She is a popular athlete and her code name is "Closer". Her Persona is "Awilda". Another character is Luffy, a mysterious, owl-like creature that can transform into a van. His code name is "Cattle" and his Persona is "Rob Roy".
Persona: The Phantom X is the first official mobile game in the Persona series, developed in collaboration with Atlus and Sega. The character designs are by Soejima Shigenori, the main designer of the Persona series. The game will deliver a new Persona adventure with the familiar turn-based battles and a new story. The game is expected to be available not only in China, but worldwide. A release date has not yet been announced.
