Helldivers 2: Early Vehicle Unlocks - A Strategic Move?

Helldivers 2 on the PS5 currently offers players more than just the promised action: A selection of new vehicles and stratagems that have not been officially announced yet have already appeared in the game. However, this may be more than just a mistake - it seems to be part of a larger plan.

A Strategic Move?

Initially, the early unlocks of mechs, armed jeeps, and support infantry were dismissed online as the work of clever cheaters. However, the increasing spread of this content suggests that the game master of Helldivers 2 could be at play here. Similar to a Dungeon Master in Dungeons & Dragons, they could be pulling the strings behind the scenes and teasing players with future content.

A Positive Shock for the Community

Despite the initial confusion, this unexpected turn of events has given the Helldivers 2 community a significant boost. The opportunity to already use new stratagems and vehicles on PS5 has sparked much excitement and speculation about the game's future direction. Players are fascinated by the idea of escaping a horde of Terminids with a buggy equipped with machine guns - a highlight that quickly elevates Helldivers 2 to one of the best multiplayer games.

What Comes Next?

In addition to the vehicles, upcoming weapons have also been revealed, although this seems to be more due to leaks. Although relevant posts have since been deleted, much indicates that many weapons from the original PS4 title will make a return, complemented by potential newcomers like a crossbow and a plasma shotgun. These may also remain unaffected by the upcoming balance update.

While an official confirmation is still pending, it is clear that Arrowhead's strategy of surprising players with early content has garnered a lot of positive feedback. It remains exciting to see what other surprises Helldivers 2 has in store and how the game will evolve on the PS5.
