Halo Infinite - releasing in 2020 with the new console generation

Microsoft has announced the title and release date of the next Halo game alongside the Xbox Scarlett. The game is called Halo Infinite and will be released at the end of 2020 with the new Xbox. There is also a PC version planned.

The game is intended to pick up directly where the story of the fifth game, released in 2015, left off. However, as seen in the trailer, new characters will be introduced. Nevertheless, the focus is on the main character, the Master Chief. This ensures that new players are not overwhelmed and can quickly get into the game, and old players can immediately jump back into the nostalgia of the first games. So there is a kind of restart of the series without losing the old players.

Chris Lee, head of studio 343 Industries, says:
"This story will mark the beginning of a new chapter and challenge for the Chief, but it will also respect and continue threads that led to this point. If you've never played a Halo game before, this will be a great place to jump into the story. You're arriving in the middle a universe at war, with a sense of history underlying your entry into the world. But it will also feel fresh, full of potential, and new adventure."

Halo is a very popular franchise that first appeared on the original Xbox in 2001. Since then, humanity and the alien alliance Covenant have been fighting each other in the galaxy because the Covenant have discovered that humanity is a direct descendant of the Forerunner. The focus is strongly on Master Chief John-117, who belongs to the group of super soldiers Spartans.

Of course, we will keep you up to date with further information - especially since Halo Infinite will be released for PC.
