Assassin's Creed: The Rebel Collection - Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Rogue coming soon to Nintendo Switch

On December 6th, 2019, Assassin's Creed: The Rebel Collection will be released for Nintendo Switch. This collection includes two games from the Assassin's Creed series, both of which have been optimized for Switch.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag

The first game is Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, which was originally released on October 29th, 2013. The action adventure subsequently won many awards and the reviews were also very positive. Now the pirate game has finally made it to Nintendo Switch.

In Black Flag you play an Abstergo agent who relives the memories of Edward Kenway. You experience the main part of the story in the Caribbean in the golden age of pirates, that is, in the 18th century. The most important cities at that time were Havana, Nassau and Kingston.

About half of the story takes place on land and the other half on the water on your own pirate ship. There are countless cities, islands, plantations, fortresses, Mayan ruins and of course temple hideouts to find and explore. On your entire journey through the Caribbean you will find hidden treasures and secrets again and again.

Assassin's Creed Rogue

The second game is Assassin's Creed Rogue and is the direct sequel to Black Flag. Rogue was released on November 11th, 2014 and, like its predecessor, received extremely positive reviews.

The story of Rogue is about the fictional story of the assassin Shay Patrick Cormac, who lives in the middle of the 18th century. In the middle of the Seven Years' War, you experience the story of the assassins from the perspective of a Templar for the first time. Better said, that of a former assassin who switched sides to the Templars and is now hunting his former assassin brothers.

Optimizations for Nintendo Switch

To optimize both games optimally for Switch, Ubisoft and Nintendo have come up with a lot. The Switch version has Nintendo's HD Rumble, which allows the game to use vibrations in the controller to feedback information from the game. This works a little differently and more extensively than you are used to from the PS4 or Xbox One controller. The Rebel
