Prey is a survival horror first-person shooter from Arkane Studios. Designed as a spiritual successor to the classic video game System Shock, the game is not a pure shooter. Instead, it is based on dense atmosphere, exploration, puzzles and discoveries. It was released in May 2017 for Playstation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
Prey will take place on the Talos I space station. After the discovery of a hostile alien race, the station was used by the Yu Corporation to secretly research the so-called Typhon. The researchers succeeded in making the essence of the highly developed but soulless aliens usable for humans in an extraction process. You wake up in the role of Morgan Yu on Talos I. The Typhon has escaped, large parts of the crew are dead. You must find out what happened and somehow escape the space station.
You have normal weapons and human abilities at your disposal, which you can improve as the game progresses. To do this, you use special equipment and materials that you can find in the game world. Additionally you can also equip yourself with supernatural typhoon abilities. As you wander through the different sections of Talos I, you will meet other survivors, read the crew's emails, and slowly get a picture of what really happened on the station.
